INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

CSSR & SRRM Degree & PG College is committed to providing the Best Quality Education in Arts, Science and Commerce to the rural, backward, and marginalised students embedded with values, skills, and innovative practices and transforming them into the best for global competence. The Institution is the gateway to the best quality education.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established on 29 December 2014 to channel its efforts and measures toward promoting holistic academic excellence and realising the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance in the Institution. 

Objectives:

The main objectives of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell are:

To advance a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to expand the Institutional academic and administrative performance and accomplishment.

To improve institutional functioning measures geared at quality enhancement through internalisation of quality culture and institutionalisation of best practices.

Plans:

The IQAC analyses current trends and needs of the education field and makes appropriate decisions. It takes initiatives for continuous improvement in teaching-learning and evaluation using the latest technology, keeping in view Institutional social responsibility.

Strategies:

The IQAC develops protocols and mechanisms for:

a) Assuring the timely, effective, and progressive performance of academic, administrative, and financial responsibilities.

b) Relevant and high-quality research and academic programmes.

c) Just accessibility and affordability of academic programmes for all segments of society.

d) Optimisation and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.

e) The accuracy of the assessment and evaluation mechanism.

f) Making sure the maintenance, allocation, and adequacy of the support structure and services.

g) Dispense research findings and network with other institutions in India and abroad.

Functions:

Some of the IQAC's functions include:

a)     The formulation and implementation of quality standards.

b)     Parameters for the Institution's academic and administrative activities.

c)     Facilitating the development of an environment centred on the learner that is conducive to excellent quality education and faculty maturity so that they can integrate the necessary knowledge and technology for a participative teaching-learning process.

d)     Collecting and analysing the feedback perspectives of all stakeholders on quality-related institutional practices.

e)     Information dissemination on multiple quality parameters to all stakeholders.

f)      Organization of inter- and intra-institutional quality-related workshops and seminars and advancement of quality assurance.

g)     Documentation of the various programmes and activities leading to quality enhancement.

h)     Serving as the Institution's central agency for coordinating quality-related activities, such as the adoption and distribution of best practices.

i)       Building and administration of an institutional database using MIS with the purpose of preserving or enhancing the quality of the Institution.

j)       Organising the periodic conduction of academic and administrative audits and their subsequent perusal.

k)     Preparation and filing of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) in accordance with NAAC's criteria and recommendations.
